Chopiniana - Fryderyk Chopin Days in Warsaw

The unique character of Chopiniana – the Fryderyk Chopin Days in Warsaw is based on the search for innovative ways in which to present the music of this eminent composer. The guests of the event are treated to not only traditional piano recitals.

The Chopiniana is a festival of many arts; alongside chamber music and symphony concerts, there are film projections, theatre and ballet performances, concerts of music inspired by Chopin’s works – for instance, “Chopin in Jazz Style”, or interpretations for unusual instruments, such as the bayan, the Russian version of a concert accordion.

The tradition of Chopiniana are performances in places related to the life and works of the composer. So you can listen to concerts in the Basilica of the Holy Cross, where Chopin’s heart was laid to rest, in Belweder Palace, where as a young composer he performed before the Great Prince Constantine, as well as in Łazienki Królewskie Park by the monument of the composer – the most famous Polish venue for Chopin concerts.

Chopiniana has taken its place among the best-known summer events in Poland and counts among the most-frequented and popular national Chopin-related events.
