Mazovia in the Crown

Mazovian pearls of secular and religious architecture from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque are the venue for the cyclical music concerts: “Mazovia in the Crown.”

In this way, we draw attention to interesting buildings of the former Mazovia duchy.

Often forgotten, they are nonetheless worth visiting, and can become excellent concert halls. The invited artists – leading Polish early music ensembles, orchestras, choirs, chamber music ensembles, as well as eminent soloists – are the magnet that attracts more than just the inhabitants of the town where the concert takes place. Drawn by renown artists, listeners come from neighbouring towns, as well as from Warsaw. Each of the performances is preceded by a historical essay dedicated to Mazovia, and a commentary on the musical programme, presented by experts from the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw University, and employees of the Historical Museum of Warsaw.
